I am a student of the famous Bulger Brothers, one became the head of the Massachusetts State Senate, the other rose to the top of the Irish mob in South Boston, eventually ALSO becoming a key deep-cover contact for a crooked FBI Agent; giving up Italian Mafia members from Providence et al.*
"Whitey" was also Scorsese's inspiration for the Frank Costello char. in The Departed.
The "bad" Bulger is accused of murders > or = 19 and ascended to the #1 spot on the FBI's Most Wanted List following the capture and disposal of UBL.
